When I saw this week's Tuesday Trigger on the Moxie Fab World Blog, I knew I wanted to make a card using this inspiration photo. I was inspired by so many elements in the photo. I love the wooden headboard , the banner, the ruffles on the pillow and that big fabric flower is adorable.
For this project I started out with some chocolate brown cardstock from GKD. I layered the gingham pattern paper from Amuse studios and some kraft cardstock. I cut a 4in x 5in piece of GKD white cardstock and scored it at every half inch. I sprayed it with Amaretto memories mist . It still needed something after i sprayed it, it wasnt quite the color that I was looking for, so I took a craft sponge and added some Tim Holtz walnut stain ink. That made it look just like I wanted. I cut a rectange from it and used my medium scalloped die and cut two pieces for the bottom of the card. I used my banner dies to make the banner and stamped some studio G letters on the banner. The heart is a verve stamp. I used Glubers for the first time and made a rolled flower from ribbon. I love the way it turned out, I will definitely be using those more often. I punched the leaves with an EK success punch. I added pearl bling to card to finish it off. I am also entering this card in the sketch challenge by Sassy Lil' Sketches. Thanks for visiting my blog.
